REGINA: THE NATIVE WORD FOR PILE OF BONES

HELLO WORLD,

Meags and I are sitting at our dear friend Judy Wensel’s table right now. Sharing all the laughs and good times.

Dudes, TONIGHT OUR SHOW WAS OFF THE CHIZZZ-AIN! We got to perform at a sweet resturant called The Fainting Goat. COULD ANY MORE JOY PACKED INTO ONE ROOM? Answer: NEVER.  Tim, Meags and I shared the stage with the likes of Combat Improv, and yes, the rumors are true, they are the pure best folks!

Wait at second, Meags here… and yes, it’s true that Regina houses the nicest people! The evening, hosted by The Fainting Goat restaurant  started off by a set by Combat Improv with a “lazy domino”. The set was solid but a particularly memorable moment was when Rob Appleby stood on his knees beside the lovely Lucy Hill and was nearly her height. Adorable. We followed with a free form 35 minute set, which was recorded. Themes of the show included family secrets, mutants, lazers and diamonds. We finished off the evening with an Armando, where Alex jumped in with us and some of the Combat cast. We had 2 for 1 pizza and nice chats, the only less than positive aspect to the evening was when I burnt the roof of my mouth. I know, you feel really bad for me.

AND AT THE MENTION OF PIZZA AND BLISTERS, HANNAH IS BACK IN THE GAME. 2 for 1 pizza? Yes please, a delicious night cap and the tasty marachino cherry on a wonderfully amazing day.

In short, today was the bomb. THE BOMB PEOPLE, TODAY WAS EXPLOSIVE.

Tomorrow we pick up RobYn Slade and get to perform with Outside Joke. We cannot wait.

Goodnight tender readers. Have the best sleeps!

Love,

Meags and Hannah

Loose Moose Laugh’em ups!!

Arrived in Calgary early afternoon, easy three hour drive pppffffttt no big deal. Met up with Meags and jammed out a sweet form to throw down at the historic Loose Moose Theatre!

We performed an intimate show after the resident players performed their Gorilla show. The audience was very receptive, they gave us all the love in their hearts as we took the suggestion of peanut and ran far! Allergies, revenge and polyamory were very prevalent themes for the night. A highlight for me was watching Meags Fitzgerald get on a horse with a bionic leg, no word of a lie. It was a great show! I can’t wait to perform tonight at the Fainting Goat in Regina!! This promises to be an exciting night surrounded by old friends.

Sending my love!

Rapid Fire Rocks!!

WWWOOOO!!!!

Well after a long haul to Edmonton Alex and I arrived safe and sound. Then we proceeded to nap for several hours to recharge for the show!

Sooo the show!

Hannah Spear joins up with me to write the show blog.

We performed in Rapid Fire’s theatresports show. From beginning to end the show was boss-some! The whole theatre was abuzz with excitement and positive energy! We did some crazy games, we did some awesome accents and we had alot….alot of severe eye contact. It was to much really, well no…ya, Im rambling. Sorry, we’re rambling, we’re tired! We got some hats, with titles like BUST SOME NUTS! Which we intend to do tomorrow and everyday of the tour because we are hard like that. Yep, hard. Well its time to go to sleep, its for the best.

Big thank you to Rapid Fire for hosting such a great show!

Talk to you soon!

LOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE,

Severe.

last night’s show was amazing. i am absolutely blown away by the generosity and support of the audience and community present at the tumbleweed tour kick-off last night. starting the project at little mountain gallery was so fitting, and i was so glad to be able to thank ehren salazar in person for his unbelievable COMBUSTIONfestival artwork.

thanks so much to ian rowe and the cast of the blaugh and to rosa parks. tim’s solo performance set a really high bar for the project and i can’t wait to shatter it with the addition of more amazing performers.

thanks so much to everyone who came out and tossed a coin or two in the bucket and a very special thanks to alistair cook.

i leave you with a picture of the teen sensation himself:

fun things that happened today.

tim and i picked up notebooks for the tumbleweed cast to keep a tour log. then nicole passmore made me a map to get home. these are two reasons why today was great.

meet vanna.

ladies & gentlemen, vanna white:

we bought this van from a man named michael jordan who lives on a boat. i wish i was kidding. either way, it rules and we’re about to hit the road in it. big kick-off show tonight at little mountain gallery and our first attempt at streaming the show. the trip is already amazing, seeing hundreds of friends every day. huge thanks to tom hill and nik bunting for letting me sleep on their excellent futon. huge thanks to the foundation for making delicious food on a daily basis.
